PROGRESSIVE ROCK LEGENDS HAPPY THE MAN RETURN WITH NEW SINGLE “LOCK ‘EM UP” FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM.

Critically acclaimed American Progressive Rock band Happy The Man are releasing a political firecracker of a single through Invasion Merch on October 1, 2024. Their new single is a fiery, rocking song that pulls no punches in describing what is at risk in our upcoming Presidential election. Written by guitarist Stanley Whitaker, “Lock ‘Em Up” is a rocking, gut-punch wrapped up in a killer tune. Stanley says that he channeled what he felt much of the public was feeling. From the first beat of the catchy song, Ron Riddle’s drums make it clear this will be a barn burner. The infectiousness of the monster groove is due to the way Stanley’s rhythm guitar meshes with the Riddle’s drums and Kennell’s elegant bass lines. All that is accented by Ron's funky brass stabs (he arranged the song and added many tasty bits). The lyrics do not hold back, but will resonate for many listeners because of that frankness. Stanley’s amazing lead vocal is riveting while his backing vocals create a rich, supporting vocal background. Rick Kennell, who mixed and mastered, says about the lyrics: “Stanley held nothing back, but I love how he used a splash of humor to mitigate some of the anger. Most Trump supporters will not see the humor, but I assure you that our goal is to unite our country and create more of a dialog. We sincerely want everyone to work together. The most important lyrics to me are, ‘We the people means everyone, We the people means all of us.’”
